| Modelo / Model: | Dragon, 1/72 |
| Notas / Notes: | The Metal hull was a bugger, wouldn't go together at the
back end til I did a bit of serious cutting with the Dremel and removed
one of the vertical lugs which take a screw to hold the thing together (superglue
works better !) After that all went swimmingly on the assembly Finished in a scheme I've always found intriguing - it belongs to SchPz Abt 503 in Normandy, 1944 and seems to have been one which was recovered and repaired, large areas of zimmerit were missing from the turret and hull, areas missing zim were obviously overpainted before it was returned to its unit and I didn't feel the need to model the small patches which remained. I have yet to see any of the plethora of zimmerit methods in this scale which look right to my eyes when finished ! Its Tamiya acrylics all the way, home brew of XF60 Desert Sand and XF 2 flat white for the Sand Brown and standard JA green straight from the bottle. |
