GALERIA DE MICHAEL BEDARD

País / Country: U.S.A.
Fecha / Date:   May 07, 2004
Título / Tittle:   M4A1 early Tunis
Modelo / Model:   DML, 1/35
Notas / Notes: I like the rounded cast hull of the Sherman. When DML came out with a half way decent version I bought 3! Well here is one.. It has been back-dated to an early version. It represents a transition type from the early direct vision to a Sherman with early parts but without the direct vision hull. Many small parts were removed from the tank such as hull springs, cover strip for hull MG and no rear taillight guards. Many early Shermans did not have these. Changes included adapting Tamiya's M3 Lee suspension to the hull and adding AFV Club tracks. Tools are brass castings by Combat models and a barrel from Chesapeake. Tow cable is from Hudson & Allen. Most everything else came from the DML box. I did add casting numbers to the turret and transmission. PollyScale OD was the base color. Weathering was a combination of Windsor/Newton watercolors, Vallejo acrylics, various artists pigments and a No. 2 pencil.
